Every verse is ranked by the community votes on the OpenBible.info cross-references it appears in — how often readers look it up, and how often other passages are tied back to it. Jeremiah 29:11 and John 3:16 rank in the top five; genealogies and census lists sit near the end of the 31,102.

Does the verse range work with different Bible translations?

Yes. The ranking is keyed to the KJV verse numbering and mapped to every supported translation, including editions whose numbering differs from the KJV. A verse a translation leaves blank is skipped rather than shown empty.
